1. What types of clients do you work with?

We provide therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups.

2. Where are you located? Do you offer in‑person or online sessions?

MindBody Suite is based in New York and serves clients throughout New York and New Jersey. Most of our sessions are held online through a secure, HIPAA‑compliant platform. We offer a limited number of in‑person appointments by arrangement, depending on clinician availability.

3. Who is eligible to work with MindBody Suite?

Because of licensing laws, our clinicians can provide therapy to clients who are physically located in New York or New Jersey at the time of the session. If you are outside these states, we can help you explore other options but cannot provide ongoing therapy.

4. How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

Most individual, couples, family and group sessions are 45 minutes. Many clients begin with weekly sessions or bi-weekly sessions, and then adjust the frequency over time based on progress, needs, and schedule. This is something you and your therapist will decide together.

5. Does insurance cover session costs?

MindBody Suite is a private‑pay practice and does not work directly with insurance companies. Some clients with out‑of‑network benefits may be able to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. While we do not submit claims on your behalf, we can provide a receipt upon request that you may choose to submit, depending on your plan.

6. Do you offer group therapy?

Yes, we offer group counseling at select times, often focused on areas such as anxiety, emotional regulation, social skills, or support for specific age groups. Group availability may change over time; please contact us to learn about current or upcoming groups.

7. How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not like yourself, or if your usual ways of coping don’t feel as effective anymore. Some people come to therapy because of specific concerns—such as anxiety, low mood, relationship conflict, parenting stress, or behavioral changes in a child or teen. Others come because they want a space to reflect, grow, and better understand themselves. If you’re wondering whether what you’re experiencing “is enough” for therapy, that’s often a sign it could be useful to talk with someone. A brief consultation can help you decide whether therapy with MindBody Suite feels like a good next step.

8. Can I schedule a consultation before booking a session?

Yes. We offer a brief free phone consultations so you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a sense of whether our practice is a good fit. During this time, we’ll talk about your main concerns, and which services or clinicians might be most appropriate. There is no obligation to continue; the consultation is simply a space for you to explore your options.

9. What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. We’ll talk about your history, current concerns, what you’d like to work on, and any questions you have about therapy. Together, we’ll begin to outline goals and discuss how we might work together moving forward. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready for.
